A wife is planning on divorcing her husband after finding out he slept with her maid of honour and best friend of 20 years at his bucks party.

Steph has been married for 18 months and was enjoying a girls night with her closest friends when the evening took an unexpected turn.

While discussing intimate 'body count' after a few drinks, Steph's best friend Maddie accidentally revealed her number was higher than what is was before - even though she's been with partner Jack for three years.

Later in the night Steph confronted Maddie on the mishap and she burst into tears saying 'it was a mistake' before confessing she slept with Steph's husband Tom.

Feeling heartbroken, Steph sought advice from the Australian podcast 'Everybody Has A Secret' and the hosts deliberated.

'Last week my best friend admitted to me that she had sex with my husband at his bucks party,' the host said.

'As you can imagine I'm devastated. My husband Tom and I have been married for 18 months and I had absolutely no idea that there were any issues in our relationship, let alone that he was capable of this level of deception.'

Steph set the scene of being out at dinner with friends and knew Maddie's body count hadn't changed since she's been with her partner for a substantial amount of time.

'When it was her turn [to reveal her body count], she said 19 instead of 18,' the story continued.

'As soon as she said that, I correct her. She drunkenly said "no, mine is 19". She clearly realised in that moment she had made a mistake, because she tried to pathetically backtrack but she was too inebriated to do it convincingly.

'In this moment I thought she'd probably just exposed herself for cheating on her partner Jack and was embarrassed.

'A little while later I pulled her aside and said I wouldn't judge her if she cheated on Jack.. she burst into tears and did not make any sense, she kept saying it was a mistake and I was just so confused.'

Then Maddie finally told the truth about what she had done and Steph slapped her in the face before leaving.

Maddie won't explain why or how she ended up at the bucks show.Steph claimed she remembers asking Maddie to hang out that night because she was 'feeling anxious'.

'She evidently lied by telling me she was busy and had to work that night instead. I would cry for more details but to be honest I can't stomach talking to her again,' Steph wrote.

'Maddie has been blowing up my phone begging for forgiveness and most of all, not to tell her partner Jack what she did.'

Since then Steph hasn't replied and doesn't plan to as she's ended the friendship.

Now Steph is planning on breaking her lease with Tom and will temporarily move in with a friend.

Feeling broken and confused, Steph isn't sure how to handle the devastating situation.

'I haven't told Tom that I know this is all happened while he's been away on an international work trip, I'm sure as hell not doing this over the phone,' she added.

'I will be leaving him. I've already called our real estate agent to break our lease.'

But she doesn't want Tom to get away with what he's done, and has asks how she should tell her husband she's divorcing him.

Podcast hostsAnnabelle Lee and Louis Hanson were almost too shocked to speak after hearing the intense story.

'It's disgusting and horrifying... you need to absolutely leave the situation. This is so s***,' Louis said.

Annabelle said she can't believe Maddie has 'the audacity' to ask Steph not to tell her partner Jack what she did.

Both agreed the friendship is done and there's'no coming back from this'.

After sharing a video on TikTok, hundreds of others joined the conversation on what they would do next.

'I would tell her partner immediately! He deserves to know the truth,' one commented.
